Hennessy Hammock Snakeskins

What are "SnakeSkins"? SnakeSkins are an instant stuff sack system that collapse your Hennessy SuperShelter in about 30 seconds. Your shelter never touches the ground, never gets dirty or muddy. It just disappears into two tapering tubes of silnylon which sit gathered on the ropes at each end of the hammock for amazingly quick set up and take down.

Installing your "SnakeSkins"

Untie the knots on the ends of the support ropes and remove the webbing straps.

Thread each rope into the wide end of the "snake skin" and out the small end. Put the webbing strap back onto the rope and secure with one overhand knot at the end of each rope.

The "skins" stay gathered on the ropes. "Snake skins" can be used to collapse the hammock only, the fly only or both the fly and hammock together. depending on how it is set up on the hammock.

How do I use "SnakeSkins"?

To collapse your hamock into the snake skin, release the side adjustment cords for the rain fly and hammock. Reach under the hammock, grab all four cords and fold them into the rainfly as you roll up the hammmock inside the fly.

Holding the rolled hammmock in one hand, simply wrap your hand behind the reinforced ring at the larger end of the gathered snake skin and slide it over the rain fly and hammock to the mid point.

Do the same from the other end and the whole hammock disappears into this two inch diameter sleeve.This can take less than 10 seconds if you are not trying to be super neat or maybe 30 seconds if you are fussy.

No more folding, rolling or stuffing it into a sack, just untie it from one tree, coil it up and untie it from the other tree and throw it into your pack or tie the waterproof coil onto the outside of your pack.

With proper care, our hammocks will last for many years. When you receive your hammock, please remove it from the package, set it up, inspect it to ensure that it is complete and test it for suitability. Please retain your receipt. (Check your hammock stuff sack for weight limit and remember that our hammocks are guaranteed for use by one person.)

Our hammocks are guaranteed for defects in materials and workmanship for one year. Damage due to wear and tear can be repaired for a reasonable charge.
