Traditional all-cotton rope hammocks are available as well as soft spun polyester rope hammocks. From the use of the revolutionary fiber, Dura Cord, to the environmentally friendly Cape Shield metal powder coat finishing, these hammocks are weather and stain resistant with superior durability and long life spans.

Skilled native craftsmen knit each hammock by working a needle of rope in and out of the hammock body, creating symmetric patterns and lend a touch of art to the unique and interesting craft. Once woven the hammock body is attached to strong plaited ends using nautical bowline knots and then strung through oak stretcher bars cut from seasonal Carolina red oak. The bars are steamed, bend, drilled, sanded, and varnished to create the comfortable sway of the hammock and to spread the rope evenly for optimum stability.

Pawleys Island Hammocks products include a one year warranty guaranteed free of defects in workmanship and materials. Prolonged exposure to weather conditions or damage caused by improper care from storage and maintenance is not included in the warranty.
